LG Harat League, held in association with Road Safety, the Ministry of Education, the Greater Amman Municipality, and the Traffic Department on March the 23rd of 2011 at the Ahmad Touqan School in Jabal Al Nuzha. This league features 500 teams from the age group of (9-13 years old). This unique partnership between the private and public sectors will not only encourage athleticism amongst children, but will also help build the skills of youth and facilitate the discovery of gifted players and their recruitment into the national team from an early age. LG Electronics Managing Director, Mr. Kevin Cha, praised the launch of this social initiative and blessed this mutual cooperation that will bring excellent results in all aspects.
He said their main goal is to keep children away from the streets by providing suitable playgrounds that prevent street dangers. Children in the age group of 9-13 years are the most susceptible to car accidents while playing on the street. They aim to provide children with a safer place to play, encourage their healthy lifestyle and develop their competitive spirit through football.
