Windows Phone 7 smartphones - HTC

Smartphone manufacturer HTC recently announced two new Windows Phone 7 smartphones, the HTC 7 Mozart and the HTC HD7. HTC is turned towards on loyal Windows users to try these new mobile devices. The HTC Mozart is really big on music, as its name implies. In fact, the marketing pitch for the smartphone is that with this gadget. Mozart, in its slim form at only 119 x 60.2 x 11.9 mm and weighing 130 grams, offers a rich viewing and audio experience through the high-fidelity virtual surround powered by SRS HD.

It has a Qualcomm QSD 8250 1GHz processor and promises up to 7.2 Mbps download speed and up to 2 Mbps upload speed. It has GPS, an 8.0-megapixel color camera and 720p HD video recording capability. As a Windows Phone 7 device, it integrates well with many popular Microsoft consumer services such as Xbox Live, Windows Live, Bing, Office and even Sharepoint.

LG Wireless Charging Pad

LG moves ahead with wireless chargers, and is called the LG Wireless Charging Pad. It is 7mm thin and similar to the Palm's Touchstone charger. To charge a phone in wireless, you will need to replace the back cover of phone with a special cover that will pass the charge from the pad to your battery. Then placing the phone on the pad, your phone will start charging. LG confirms that it would fully charge your phone in about just 2 hours. But LG still did not confirm which model phones will come with such back covers. The Pad will require a socket to charge itself, and the device measures 6.29” long by 3.54” wide by 0.39” thick that it should only be able to charge one device at a time.

You can keep track of how much your handset has already been discharged. It also comes with audible and tactile feedback whenever you place a phone on the pad. LG said the device will be available from April this year.

Samsung Wave S8530 - hack

Samsung had launched its Bada mobile OS for feature phones and introduced Wave series of smartphones. Bada world have released video of Samsung Wave S8530 running Android 2.2.1 Froyo instead of Bada OS. While Samsung was convincing many about the Bada OS meant for feature phones with smartphone level hardware. Many hackers have managed to boot the Samsung Wave S8500 with Android 2.2.1 ROM of Galaxy S - since both have same hardware. The hackers state that it is in early stages as the phone boots and allows using Wi-Fi as well as GSM network and their efforts led to combine two bada phones. Any app works except the widgets and themes. No other features are functional because the stability of the CPU hasn’t been achieved.

The Wave S8500 carries the same 1GHz Hummingbird CPU found in the Galaxy S. Running Android on other OS running hardware isn’t new. They already know about the Android on iPhone 3G last year and the developments on the same that has been taking place very slowly.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo features

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is a mobile that provides numerous advanced features including LED quality display as well as web access within a handset.
